“All together now! (It takes all sorts to make a world) “
9 works on the exterior entrance wall of Klarebergsskolan in Gothenburg, Sweden. Installation: January 2020.
Inspired by the key words chosen by Klarebergsskolan – security, participation, diversity and movement – I have created a happy collection of colorful characters, where everyone is different, and everyone plays a part. The work consists of 9 wall-hung objects that celebrate their differences in size and form, but are connected through color scheme and imagery. The abstract characters invite imaginative interpretation and exciting conversations. The playful placement of the objects creates a sense of movement and a contrast to the brown monotony of the façade, while each object itself has a harmonious symmetry. The name “All Together Now! (it takes all sorts to make a world) ” reflects the visual story where similarities and differences are celebrated, together!
